TRAINING AND EDUCATION

As the largest volleyball officials association in Wisconsin,

we are committed to developing confident, knowledgeable

officials by providing outstanding training and professional

growth opportunities through early-season training meetings,

multiple preseason clinics, and on-court observations led by

state-level clinicians; all provided at no additional cost to our

members. These opportunities help officials develop leadership,

communication, and decision-making skills that carry over

beyond the volleyball court.

ASSIGNMENTS

We currently serve seven major conferences—Classic 8, Greater Metro, Metro Classic, North Shore, Southeast, Southern Lakes, and Woodland—providing qualified officials for matches and tournaments during the high school season starting in late August. In addition to high school assignments, we offer members extensive middle school officiating opportunities in late winter and early spring (select dates available during the high school season). Members also receive access to ZebraWeb, our assigning platform. Our assignor prioritizes each member's development by tailoring assignments to their availability, experience, and personal comfort level which ensures they're placed in matches where they will succeed.

SUPPORT AND MENTORSHIP
We strongly believe that mentorship is vital for volleyball officials
because it builds confidence, consistency, and long-term success.
Members benefit from a network of experienced officials who provide constructive feedback to new officials to move beyond rule knowledge by improving mechanics, judgment, communication, and game management.

CREDIBILITY AND ADVOCACY FOR OFFICIALS

By promoting consistent rule application and professional standards for our members, it creates credibility with coaches, schools, conferences, and the WIAA. We work with these stakeholders to improve the officiating environment in Wisconsin to help ensure officials are respected, supported, protected, and appropriately compensated. Creating a positive atmosphere for all stakeholders is essential for fair competition, retention of officials, and the overall quality of the game.
